The LHD687BG is a 4.2 channel home theatre system built around two tall front speakers and a slim DVD player. Each tower carries a 6.5 inch bass reflex subwoofer along with its front and surround drivers, so the low end comes from the same two cabinets instead of a separate box on the floor. Total rated power output is 1250W, split 200W each across front left and right, surround left and right, and the two subwoofers.

Key Features
- Deep bass without a separate subwoofer box. Each tower holds a 6.5 inch paper cone woofer in a bass reflex chamber, rated at 200W per subwoofer.
- Surround sound from two speakers only. The 4.2 channel layout puts front and surround drivers in the same pair of cabinets, so there are no rear speakers to run wires to.
- Play music from your phone. Bluetooth works both ways (receive and transmit), and TV Sound Sync connects the system to a television over Bluetooth or the optical input.
- Ready for karaoke nights. Two microphone inputs on the front, with mic and echo volume, scoring, fanfare and a CD voice remover.
- Plays the discs you already own. DVD in PAL and NTSC, DVD-R and RW, DVD+R and RW, Video CD, Super VCD, audio CD and CD-R, plus Xvid and MPEG2 video and MP3 and WMA audio.
- One cable to the TV. A single HDMI output carries picture and sound, with 1080p upscaling for standard definition discs.
- Radio and USB built in. The PLL tuner stores 50 FM stations and the front USB port plays files and handles USB direct recording.

Setup controls include speaker level trim, speaker distance delay, a test tone and audio delay for lip sync. Equaliser settings cover Standard, User EQ, Bass Blast and Football. The front speaker terminals are spring clips, while the woofer connection uses a LAN type terminal.
