The LG T85S1TDDT2C is a top load washing machine with an 8kg wash capacity and a Smart Inverter motor. It runs fully automatically: load the clothes, pick a program, and the machine fills, washes, rinses and spins on its own.

The controls sit flat on the top edge rather than on the front, so the machine can be pushed right up against a wall or between two cupboards.

Key Features

  • 8kg drum takes a full household load. Bed sheets, work clothes and towels can go in together instead of being split into two washes.
  • Set it and walk away. Fully automatic operation with a Smart Inverter motor, so one press of start runs the whole cycle through to the spin.
  • Heavy and light fabrics each get their own setting. Six programs are marked on the panel: Normal, Duvet, Delicates, Quick Wash, Tub Clean and Extra Clean.
  • Small loads do not need a long cycle. Quick Wash handles a few lightly worn items, and the water level can be set from 1 to 4 so you are not filling the tub for half a basket.
  • Keeps the drum itself clean. The Tub Clean program rinses out the tub, which helps stop smells building up inside the machine.
  • Check the wash without stopping it. The lid has a clear window, so you can see the load turning with the lid shut.

Every program has a number printed beside it and one Program button steps through them, so choosing a wash is reading a list rather than remembering dial positions.
